Mondays get a bad rap. We dread them, complain about them and wish they didn’t have to happen so often. I’ve never, not once in my entire life, heard someone say Monday is their favorite day of the week.
Maybe we could change the way we look at them? Maybe we could approach Monday with a new mindset? Mondays can be our fresh start to a new week. And the best way to start a new week? With a heart heaped full of thankfulness.
As we head into this week may we look hard at the good. Let’s give thanks for our freedom and for all those who paid the price for it.
Let us see the beauty in the fall leaves, the snow-capped mountains, the amber waves of grain.
Let’s walk into this week with our eyes wide open, let us see the beauty, let us see the gifts in every single day. And when we see, let us not forget to whisper thanks.
On this Veteran’s Day I’m proclaiming thanks for those who have served. Service is such a beautiful gift. And my heart swells with gratitude and my eyes hold back tears at the very thought of their selflessness.
